Vermeer HG6000 Horizontal Grinder

Vermeer has redesigned its HG6000 horizontal grinder, updating to a Tier 4-I engine. Cat C18 diesel produces 755 horsepower, up 20 percent over the previous model. Production and throughput can be adjusted through a dual-screen system that allows users to mix and match screens, reverse or change screens, and adjust the screen support in accordance with material type and requirements. The transition area between anvil and screen has been eliminated, boosting screen area by 20 percent. The Series II duplex drum hammermill consists of 10 hammers and 20 cutter blocks with a 36.4-inch cutter tip diameter and 62-inch cutting width. A single-piece 48-inch wide belly and discharge conveyor belt eliminates the transition point from belly to load-out.
