Roadtec SP-200e Spray Paver
With an extendable spray bar that extends the full width of its screed, the Roadtec SP-200e Spray Paver, with a 225-horsepower Cummins QSB 6.7 engine that meets Tier 4-Interim emissions standards, can apply a coating of emulsion or liquid asphalt to existing surfaces before placing the new mat, thus increasing bond strength between the materials. The rate of application from the spray bar (supplied with liquid material from a 2,100-gallon heated tank) is fully automated through the Bearcat Computerized Rate Control System, which maintains a pre-set rate. The tank is insulated and can accommodate product stored overnight. The SP-200e has a gravity-feed hopper, designed, says Roadtec, to help decrease material segregation, simplify machine maintenance, and maintain high production. Joystick steering provides consistently accurate control of paver direction in all conditions, says the manufacturer, and the redesigned operator stations yield greater efficiency and comfort, including hydraulic-pivot consoles and selectable seat positions.
