Mushroom Networks Portabella Devices Bring Broadband to Outlying Areas

July 13, 2015

Mushroom Networks has developed new technology for delivering what the company calls “ultra-fast broadband” to fleets and areas where high-speed Internet is not available.

The compact PortaBella wireless broadband bonding appliance—the Portabella 5200i and Portabella 7100i—sits in vehicles and utilizes multiple cellular 3G/4G cellular data cards to create a single high-speed Internet connection. Fleets can bypass expensive satellite technology, says the company, and benefit from fast Internet anywhere cell service is available. The new appliances feature up to 6 embedded modems and are designed to deliver Internet connections for mobile applications used in challenging physical environments.
