More Than Just A Pretty Face

Sept. 28, 2010

Two models of International's 7700 vocational truck have a forward-set steer axle and frames that optimize weights for bridge-formula states. The line features strong but lightweight 12.25-inch-high frame rails, and clean cab-to-rear-axle treatment for easy mounting of bodies. Its front suspension uses new multi-stage leaf springs for a smoother ride. The 7700 is an offshoot of the setback-axle 7600, so will be available with Cummins ISM and Cat C11 and C13 diesels, and Eaton and Allison transmissions. The new model uses a reinforced 4000 Series cab and other modifications for severe-duty work.
