The I44Rv3 mobile impact crusher is designed to combine the productivity of a 44-inch impactor with the versatility of a full-screening and recirculating system, allowing operators to produce a crushed and screened final product with one machine. This new version of the company’s I44R model features direct drive, enhanced material-flow path, larger pre-screen, and a more open chassis. The I44Rv3’s radial return conveyor features full-length dust-suppression control, allowing operators to recirculate oversize material from the screen box back to the feed hopper “or radial a complete 90 degrees while running.”

To ensure unrestricted material flow, each sectional component is wider than the last to eliminate funneling or narrowing that can cause material bridging. The straight-sided chutes are engineered to manage material as it passes through each section. The I44Rv3’s new 7-foot double-deck pre-screen brings more-efficient fines removal to production, says McCloskey, maximizing the crusher’s productivity and delivering screened product via a straight chute to the 25.5-inch side conveyor. The main conveyor is now wider (48 inches) to accommodate a larger amount of pre-screen material—and to allow for improved discharge from the crushing chamber.
