The APU3050e Wacker Neuson vibratory plate compactor is reversible. The direct drive unit is powered by the modular Battery One battery system.
The compactor weighs 486 pounds, and the base plate measures 19.7 inches wide. It produces 6,744 pounds of centrifugal force and can compact up to 6,135 square feet per hour. An integrated wheel set facilitates moving the machine around the job site.
The Wacker Neuson APU3050e can be started with the push of a button, even at low temperatures and at high altitudes, according to the company. Depending on the application, one battery charge can be enough for the typical compaction tasks of smaller applications. For larger jobs, however, two batteries and a quick charger may be needed.
Because the operator is not exposed to any exhaust emissions, the machine can be used without restrictions in trenches, tunnels, and interior spaces. The battery-powered APU3050e is maintenance free. The motor is mounted directly on the base plate and does not require a V-belt.
