The electric version of the Pro XD utility vehicle has an all-electric powertrain. The Pro XD Kinetic has the same cargo and towing capacities as the gas- or diesel-powered versions, at 1,250 pounds and 2,500 pounds, respectively. The poly bed is rust- and dent-free.
Scheduled maintenance costs are roughly 60% less than for similar gas-powered vehicles, according to the company. The all-electric powertrain eliminates the need for oil changes, filter replacements, spark plugs, and clutch maintenance.
The 14.9 kWh lithium-ion battery delivers 140 lb.-ft. of instant torque. It is designed to last the vehicle’s lifetime and is backed by a five-year warranty from Polaris Commercial. The battery can be charged by a standard wall outlet or a similarly powered generator. The vehicle is also compatible with 220V for fast charging. It has a range of up to 45 miles, according to the company.
Safety features include orange seatbelts, vehicle decals, and optional lighting accessories. A standard horn and backup alarm provide audible alerts. The top speed can be calibrated between 5 and 40 mph. The electric drivetrain also provides reduced sound levels that improve the operator’s situational awareness, allow easier communications between crew members, and enables quiet-zone usage.
