Tier-4 compliance is attained with an ultra-low particulate combustion engine that does not require a DPF. The 61-horsepower engines provide 12 percent more torque. A machine-protection system monitors coolant and oil temperatures, manages engine systems accordingly, and shuts down the engine if needed. The traction control feature can be turned on and off, and it senses speed differentials that typically occur when wheels lose traction. As an operator holds a constant low-range speed, the system transfers torque to the wheels with the highest traction. The traction control system works in conjunction with the four-wheel independent suspension system.
