The RTV-XG850 Sidekick UTV is built for construction and commercial applications. The two-seat unit has a 48-horsepower Subaru gasoline engine with electronic fuel injection and a 1,000-pound-capacity steel cargo bed that can dump materials.
It has a towing capacity of 2,000 pounds on flat ground and 1,550 pounds on hills, the company says. Top speed is 40 mph. An Electronic Power Steering system is designed to ensure handling and control under load, and a selectable full-time four-wheel-drive system provides traction on rough terrain, even under loads. A Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT “Plus”) features a centrifugal clutch that keeps thick, double cogged belts tight for minimal slippage. It also cools the CVT belts with a large cooling fan.
Fifty new options have been developed for the model, including a premium audio system with Bluetooth, LED headlights, bush and lamp guards, bed extenders, stackable waterproof toolboxes, windshields, and roofs. The UTV is available in Kubota Orange, RealTree AP Camo, green, and black.
