Liebherr PR716 Litronic Crawler Dozer Joins Lineup

April 14, 2016

The Liebherr PR 716 Litronic crawler dozer joins the company’s line of “generation 6” crawlers, which is comprised of six models with operating weights from 14.3 to more than 80 tons.

It has an operating weight of 29,101 to 33,510 pounds with an engine output of 126 horsepower, and is powered by a 4-cylinder diesel engine that complies with Tier 4-Final emissions standards. To optimize the combustion process, Liebherr relies on SCR without a DPF. As with all generation 6 crawler tractors, the PR 716 Litronic features an electronic drive management system with an ECO mode setting. The ECO mode enables the PR 716 to achieve greater efficiency and is ideal for light and medium-duty applications, the company says.

The proactive power control is activated when pushing heavy material. It temporarily increases the engine power based on the current requirement. As well as responding more rapidly, the machines offer a significant increase in pulling power, and a higher reverse speed, according to Liebherr. The hydrostatic drive keeps the engine speed at a constant level. All drive components and the intelligent Liebherr engine management system are optimally adapted to the speed, contributing toward reduced fuel consumption.
