A new cone crusher from KPI-JCI and Astec Mobile Screens, model GT200, includes a new tramp-iron relief system designed to minimize crusher overload impact shock loads transmitted to crusher components. The GT200 also features a new hydraulic chamber-clear feature, which raises the crusher’s upper crushing chamber, allowing the rock to flow through the crushing chamber by simply activating a manual valve. According to the manufacturer, the new crusher utilizes all-roller-bearing construction for improved production and higher energy efficiency, and it also features a one-piece cast steel base frame and a crusher chamber designed to handle a broad range of aggregate in feed sizes at various closed-side-settings utilizing a standard-liner configuration.
