Komatsu PC490LC-11

March 12, 2014

The new 359-horsepower (net) PC490LC-11 hydraulic excavator from Komatsu America is Tier 4-Final emissions certified and has an operating-weight range between 105,670 and 110,220 pounds. The environmentally friendly engine, says Komatsu, provides high levels of performance while reducing fuel consumption up to 7 percent, compared with the predecessor model. The PC490LC-11 features a heavy-duty undercarriage and counterweight to maintain the same lift capacity and lateral stability as the prior series, says the company, and the Lift Mode raises hydraulic pressure to increase lifting force up to 7 percent. A variable-track-gauge option is designed to increase lateral stability and lift capacity up to an additional 10 percent.
