JCB announced a new high-lift loader arm option for its 457 HT wheel loader. With a hinge pin height of 15 feet 5 inches, JCB says the 457 HT HL is now the highest lifting four cylinder, 4.5 cubic-yard loader available in North America.
According to a press release, the design of the JCB HL loader arm reduces stress on the loader end and improves roll-back torque for easier curling of heavy attachments at full operating height. Advanced kinematics also eliminate the need for a hydraulic cylinder in the center of the loader end, which enhances visibility.
The 457 HT is the largest wheel loader offered by JCB in North America, with an operating weight of 44,428 pounds. It also features a 258 horsepower diesel engine that meets Tier 4 standards.
