Faulty Pavement Closes Runway

A year-old runway at Reno-Tahoe International Airport has been closed due to flaking in the pavement, according to local news reports. The runway cost $16 million to build and is the airport’s longest.

Acccording to News 4, contractor Granite Construction is working to determine the cause and solution to the faulty pavement, with a target of July 1 for reopening.
