The price of diesel fuel exceeds that of gasoline by over $1.50, according to a report in the Wall Street Journal, and with stockpiles being pulled down, no relief appears near.
Citing near-term demands from the upcoming winter and the ongoing war in Ukraine, the report suggests not only that prices for diesel fuel will remain high, but also that reserves may not be quickly replenished.
The gap between the price for gasoline and diesel is currently $1.61, according to the report, and U.S. reserves are down to 25 days of diesel.
