A construction worker was killed while crews were paving a private driveway in Lake Worth, Florida, the Boca Post reports.
The Palm Beach Sheriff’s Office said a dump truck driven by Adolfo Mazpule, 56, was being guided by a co-worker that was visible to him in the passenger side mirror.
An unpaved underlayment could not withstand the weight of the truck and it became stuck. Mazpule attempted to dump a portion of its load in order to lighten the weight.
Mazpule was unaware that Pedro Bolano was on the driver’s side of the truck. The truck then became unstable and began to shift towards the driver’s side. The truck rolled onto its side, killing Bolano.
