Liebherr 81 K.1 Tower Crane

According to Liebherr, the fast-erecting 81 K.1 tower crane has been refined with an increase in lifting capacity and with an extended jib.Also, a new external cabin is available. The lifting capacity of the upgraded 81 K.1, says the company, can be temporarily increased by up to 20 percent. When in use, the Load-Plus function eliminates the need to use an additional larger crane for heavyweight hoists, says Liebherr. The jib can be extended by 9.84 ft. by bolting on an extension. Compared to its predecessor, maximum radius has been increased to 157 feet. Standard Liebherr features for the 81 K.1 include the company’s Speed2Lift 2-line operation, Micromove fine-positioning mode, and the ABB operating-range limiting system.The new optional exterior cabin for its K series cranes can be installed quickly and easily on any new K crane using its own load hook, says Liebherr. The safe access on the side is easy to reach, says the company, and the crane operator has an expansive view of the site.
