The CX350D hydraulic excavator is the first of the company’s new D Series models. The CX350D meets Tier 4-Final regulations for emissions control by employing cooled exhaust gas recirculation, selective catalytic reduction, and a diesel oxidation catalyst. According to the company, the CX350D, compared with its predecessor model, will yield up to 10 percent greater fuel efficiency and provide up to 8 percent faster cycle times and 3 percent greater drawbar pull. Weighing in at 82,400 pounds, the CX350D is rated at 268 horsepower. It will be available in North America in early 2015.
