Next-generation mixer drum has productivity improvements to allow it to carry additional payload. A patent-pending drum design moves the center of gravity down and forward to enhance capacity without increasing the wheelbase. In addition, the design incorporates a more spherical shape that improves mixing efficiency, McNeilus says. An optional drumhead impeller also helps the mixing cycle by minimizing hydraulic drag.
