Caterpillar’s new range of utility compactors, (CB22B, CB24B, CB24B XT, CB32B, CB34B, CB34B XW, CC24B and CC34B) compete in the 1.8-metric ton to 5-metric ton size class and, according to Caterpillar, feature a simple operating environment with intuitive controls and easy-viewing LCD display. Efficient compaction performance is achieved, says the company, via better visibility, increased drum diameters, multiple- frequency vibratory systems, and optional ballast addition on some models.
