According to NikkeiAsia, Komatsu is targeting hydrogen power for its mining trucks, with a target date of 2030 for operation.
The report says Komatsu will source the hydrogen power cells from outside the company. The move is seen as giving users an alternate energy source for the trucks, replacing diesel power with hydrogen.
International Mining reports that Komatsu is readying a mining truck in South Africa for hydrogen.
