Two individuals were killed on Saturday after a Hard Rock Hotel building under construction in New Orleans partially collapsed. According to Fox News, the top six floors of the building had collapsed around 9:14 a.m. More than 20 people were reported injured.
According to the report, cranes capable of lifting the collapsed portions of the hotel structure were being transported as part of the response effort. NOLA.com also reported that over 100 residents have been displaced from their homes due to mandatory evacuations.
