Sales of truck tires totaled $201 million in 2023.

Sumitomo will acquire the Dunlop tire brand from Goodyear for $701 million, according to Modern Tire Dealer. The deal covers trademarks and “intangible assets necessary for the operations of the brand business in Europe, North America, and Oceania,” according to Goodyear.

According to Goodyear, sales of Dunlop-brand commercial truck tire sales totaled $201 million in 2023.

“This is another important milestone as we continue to execute against our Goodyear Forward transformation plan,” said Mark Stewart, Goodyear president/CEO, in a statement. “We are optimizing our portfolio and reducing leverage to drive sustainable and substantial shareholder value creation.”
