Bobcat now has a 15-model lineup of compact and sub-compact Bobcat tractors, built across four platform sizes and four transmission types, and ranging from 21 to 58 horsepower. Each model varies in size, horsepower, and open-station or cab option, and all are equipped with four-wheel drive. Transmission types include manual, synchro-shift, hydrostatic, and electric hydrostatic, which automatically maintains uphill speed with no pedal adjustments.
The Bobcat quick-attach mounting system is standard across all platforms to facilitate changing front- and mid-mounted attachments. Attachments include front-end loader, backhoe, and mid-mount mower; implements include box blade, angle blade, tine rake, rotary cutter, tiller, snowblower, finish mower, auger, rear ballast box, and quick hitch.
Three tire types are available on the Bobcat tractors: agricultural for towing heavy loads or pulling implements; turf for providing traction with minimal surface damage; and industrial for maximum traction, long tread wear, and puncture protection.
The new tractors feature a suspension seat for absorbing shocks in the interest of an overall smoother ride, says Bobcat, and a rubber deck mat dampens vibrations through the floor. The operator station features ergonomic controls, and an illuminated dashboard allows users to operate and monitor performance in any light condition. Serviceability features include one-side maintenance with easy access to engine fluid-fill points and filters. A heavy-duty brush guard protects the front of the machine from debris, branches and other obstacles, says Bobcat. Each tractor is backed by a 24-month, 1,500-hour warranty.
