HCMA ZW370-6 wheel loader features 48,780 pounds of breakout force, a bucket capacity range of 7.3 to 8.1 cubic yards, and is powered by a 389-horsepower Isuzu Tier 4-F engine that does require a diesel particulate filter. According to Hitachi, the new loader has “a spacious cab with 360-degree visibility, ride control, and onboard technology that provides quick and efficient cycle time.”
According to Hitachi, the ZW370-6 is designed with a full box rear frame for heavy applications, and the machine’s dual Z-Bar linkage is designed to place reduced torque on boom arms to enhance machine balance. The engine features a high-volume, cooled exhaust gas recirculation system, common-rail type fuel injection system, and diesel oxidation catalyst—instead of a diesel particulate filter. Also, the loader has a lock-up transmission that provides 30 percent more tractive force than its predecessor, the Kawasaki Z7, says the manufacturer.
Available as an option is the joystick steering system, which gives operators the choice of steering wheel or fingertip operation. The Hitachi Owner’s Site and ConSite machine-monitoring system provide ongoing maintenance and operation data and alert service technicians when service is required.
