The DL220-5 wheel loader replaces the Dash 3 and has a 160-horsepower Doosan DL06 engine that complies with Tier 4 regulations. The 27,381-pound loader has a bucket capacity of 3 cubic yards.
A fully automatic transmission aids in reducing fuel consumption and enhancing performance as the engine’s computer and transmission control system communicate with each other. Like its predecessor, the DL220-5 has standard Z-bar lift-arm linkage, and a high-lift Z-bar configuration extends dump height 18 inches. Limited-slip differentials are standard.
Cab enhancements include the adjustable steering column, a new fuel consumption gauge, and updates to the keypad on the dashboard. Two rear LED lamps improve rear visibility. Maintenance-related updates include additional oil sampling ports and various fluid pressures now viewable from the dash panel.
