JCB has upgraded the 110W Hydradig wheeled tool carrier with the installation of a Tier 4-Final JCB EcoMAX 108-horsepower diesel engine, which features SCR with DEF additive resulting in no requirement for a DPF, a minimum 4 percent fuel saving over previous engine, 2 percent DEF use, and 88 percent lower NOx emissions, the company says.
The 19-liter DEF tank and the low DEF use (2 percent) will only require a refill with every sixth tank of diesel. There is also no requirement for either DEF tank coolers or additional heaters within the system.
