James River Equipment, a John Deere dealer in Virginia, will now carry Epiroc drill rigs in that state, Epiroc said in a press release. James River has carried the company’s hydraulic attachments in Virginia, and the expansion will include sales and rental of the rigs, as well as rock drilling tools, parts, and service.
James River has more than 40 locations across Virginia, North Carolina, and South Carolina, and currently handles Epiroc rigs in North and South Carolina. Many of its customers work between North Carolina and Virginia, so the expansion allows James River to provide consistent support across the region, according to Epiroc.
“We’re excited to expand our valued partnership with James River Equipment in the state of Virginia,” said Tom Borer, Epiroc VP, independent distribution, said in a prepared statement. “JRE is a regional leader in the aggregate and contract drilling markets. Supported by JRE’s experienced and knowledgeable staff, Epiroc equipment will help drilling customers in the region increase uptime and efficiency.”
John Grantier, VP sales for James River said in a prepared statement:
“We are pleased to add Epiroc drills to the bulk of our footprint in Virginia. Epiroc’s quality products add to the wide range of equipment we already offer and will give us an additional opportunity to take care of existing customers and new ones as well. When you combine James River’s vast product support experience, our extensive sales relationships developed over decades and the quality and longevity of Epiroc drills, we think our customers are the big winners.”
