Komatsu WA475-11, WA485-11 Wheel Loaders

The Komatsu WA475-11 builds upon the company’s WA475-10 and adds new features and design refinements, including a refined cab and controls, and simplified access to maintenance areas.

The cabin has been redesigned for comfort, noise -evel control and enhanced visibility. New independent work equipment controls help make loading easier. Angle Feedback Joystick Steering (AFJS) is engineered to prevent operator fatigue.

A rear object detection system and 21% expanded visibility versus the previous model (designed with a larger front and rear glass area) promote safety.

The Komatsu WA485-11 is a new wheel loader with advanced features designed to enhance productivity, help control fuel consumption, and make maintenance easier (when compared to the previous model).

With a newly developed Komatsu DBA127 engine, a Komatsu Hydraulic Mechanical Transmission (KHMT) engineered to deliver controllability and high transmission efficiency, and a new cab with operator-assistance features like AFJS controls, it is designed for quarry operations.

The new WA485-11YL adds a yard loader package with unique features engineered for demanding quarry and aggregate applications. Compared to the WA485-11 standard base model, it has a larger-capacity bucket, an additional counterweight and wide tires for enhanced stability. This makes this purpose-built wheel loader a choice for handling, stockpiling, and loading processed material onto commercial trucks with three passes.

The addition of the proprietary Komatsu Hydraulic Mechanical Transmission (KHMT) to the WA485-11YL is notable, giving the loader an advanced design engineered to enhance productivity and efficiency of material loading cycles.

Plus, the KHMT's control system comprehensively assesses the work situation and works to control power distribution, synchronizing low fuel consumption at low engine speed and delivering acceleration performance.
