    The 773-horsepower WA700-8 Komatsu wheel loader has a 12-cubic-yard bucket that allows it to fill a 70-ton haul truck in four passes. Operating weight is 214,069 pounds.

    Performance upgrades from the predecessor Dash 3 model include 8% more gross power, 15% more torque, 6% more lifting force, 6% more rated load, and 8% more fuel efficiency. The Komatsu wheel loader has a new advanced joystick steering system and electronic pilot control levers.

    Productivity features include automatic dig, semi-automatic approach, and semi-auto dump systems, especially effective when V-cycle loading haul trucks, according to the company.

    Variable traction control helps operators maintain traction and reduce tire slippage in slippery or wet conditions. Machine rimpull can be adjusted between 100% and 20% tractive effort depending on conditions.

    Electronically controlled suspension system (ECSS) absorbs boom bounce and shock on uneven surfaces, reducing machine pitch and bounces and helping to decrease bucket material spillage and increase ride comfort.

    Preventive maintenance can be performed on key service areas via a centrally located service center for ground-level access to ports for draining and refilling critical fluids, as well as sample ports.
