A new engine provides 17% more power than the 903D.

Cat 903 wheel loader replaces the Cat 903D with a more powerful Cat C1.7 engine, providing 17% more horsepower. The 48-horsepower compact wheel loader has an operating weight of 4,200 pounds. Full turn tip load rating is 5,516 pounds.

The auxiliary hydraulic system delivers higher flow than the 903D, delivering up to 14.5 gpm at 3,336 psi. The Caterpillar wheel loader has a viewing window that enables the operator to see the fork tips, and an optional hydraulic skid steer loader coupler is available. Bucket capacity ranges from 0.8 to 1.3 cubic yards.

Z-bar type loader linkage features boom-float and attachment return-to dig functions. Standard- and high-lift configurations of121 inches and 127 inches are available.

A fully opening rear hood offers easy access to the engine compartment, which includes side-by-side coolers and a transparent fuel/water separator.

The multifunction joystick provides fingertip control of the standard third-function hydraulic system. Minimal engine overhang results in  rear and corner visibility.
