The 12MTX Mecalac wheeled excavator has a three-piece, variable angle, side-mounted boom. Dubbed a “wheel excavator loader,” by the company, it has an articulated chassis and a wheel loader drivetrain.

The 21,384-pound excavator has a 115-horsepower engine and a dumping height of 13 feet 4 inches. Bucket range in size from 0.2 to 1 cubic yard.

The boom can extend nearly straight in almost any direction or fold back on itself for compact operation and lifting capability. A selector switch allows the operator to change operating modes between park, excavator, loader, and travel.

The 12MTX can lift up to 4 tons, and the engine is positioned in the rear, offering a removed counterweight. It has an articulated undercarriage, four-wheel drive, and five different tire options.

An automatically unfolding step facilitates entering and exiting the cab.The boom is positioned to the left of the cab, aiding visibility.
