CX50D Case excavator can dig to 10 feet 11 inches. Operating weight for the 59-horsepower mini excavator is 10,912 pounds.
The mini independent swing boom can be offset left or right, and the excavator comes in zero tailswing, short-tail, or conventional-swing configurations.
“This machine is designed to take on bigger jobs in small spaces,” said Diego Butzke, product manager excavators and motor graders. “The compact design packs [allows] operators to get as close as possible to foundations, buildings, roadsides and around obstacles. It can also pass through outdoor gates, adding backyards to the list of potential applications.”
Proportional thumb-roller controls allow for operation of attachments, a pattern selector switches between SAE and ISO pattern changeover, and 1- or 2-way flow combination auxiliary hydraulics allow for various attachment applications.
“The CX50D comes with extra auxiliary circuits to enhance attachment versatility,” said Butzke. “High and low flow multi-function auxiliary circuits are standard on the machine, which allows a dedicated circuit for a thumb and another circuit to run other power-hungry attachments–reducing the need of unhooking/hooking hoses all the time.
“Customers can add a third multi-function auxiliary circuit to run more advanced attachments, like tilt-rotators, as well as a dedicated constant flow mulcher head auxiliary circuit.”
The automotive style cab was designed for "comfort, control, and convenience,” according to Butzke. Features include auto climate control with heat and A/C, Bluetooth radio, a five-way adjustable seat, and an LCD screen that provides data on the machine and its attachments.
