The Mecalac MR50 and MR60 are the latest additions to the company's line of tiltrotators. The MR50 is compatible with Mecalac 9MWR and 11MWR wheeled excavators and the 10MCR crawler-skid excavator. The MR60 tiltrotator compatible with the Mecalac 15MWR wheeled excavator and 15MC crawler excavator.
The system includes a tiltrotator fitted between two Connect quick couplers along with a grading bucket designed to match the machine and system. The MR50 and MR60 tiltrotators allow for 360-degree rotation in both directions as well as a 40-degree tilt left and right for various attachments, including hydromechanical tools such as grapples.
The integration between the two quick couplers makes it possible to detach the tiltrotator when it’s not needed and quickly resume work with another attachment, according to the company.
Mecalac wheeled excavators' two-piece boom with offset kinematics allows the operator to position tools more precisely when used with the tiltrotator, according to the company.
The MR50 and MR60 tiltrotator options include dedicated multi-function joysticks, various tiltrotator configurations and settings as well as “Home” — return to operator preset position — and “Bucket Shake” — or pulse — functions to ensure material spreads evenly and quickly.
