An upgraded version of the Crawler Carrier, Model CD110R-2, retains its predecessor's basic utility, says Komatsu, having the ability to rotate 360 degrees for efficient loading or dumping in any direction, and exerting a ground pressure of only 3.6 psi. New features for the 34,390-pound machine, which has a payload capacity of 11 tons, include a 255-hp Komatsu engine that is Tier-2-compliant, an enhanced operator's compartment, and increased drawbar-pull capacity.
