Deere Announces Electric Excavator at CES

John Deere announced it had an electric excavator powered by a battery from its partner Kreisel, in which Deere has a majority stake. The company made the announcement during its keynote address at  CES 2023.

The Deere 145 X Tier electric excavator features Kreisel’s patented immersion cooling architecture that it says provides unsurpassed lifetime, enhanced safety, and improved performance for battery-powered equipment.

No details were available regarding availability or specifications, although the nomenclature suggests an mid-sized excavator.
