A new online training tool from Prinoth allows Panther technicians to earn valuable certification from anywhere in the world and from any web-enabled device.
The Prinoth Academy e-learning platform is based on conversations with customers who say today’s new challenges require new ways to learn.
“This is what our customers wanted, so we built it. Just like everything we do.” said Prinoth CEO Alessandro Ferrari. “Our professional trainers took customer input and created something everyone will appreciate. Technicians get money-making skills. Owners get profit-producing results. All while saving time and money on travel.”
Company officials say the training tool is structured so that technicians can learn at their own pace, while module testing ensures mastery of the content.
“There is no artificial time frame here," Ferrari said. "Learn in your own home and at your own pace. The important thing is that you learn. We want every technician to be as efficient as our crawler carriers.”
Course curriculum is broken into three levels: Basic, Advanced, and Expert: Basic allows technicians to gain fundamental knowledge of electrics, electronics and hydraulics for the Panther lineup. Advanced provides deeper knowledge of detailed functions of the vehicle, including the power pack, electrical system, hydraulics, controls, accessories, and maintenance.
Finally, the Expert level gives technicians the pinnacle in Panther vehicle service skills. All levels are verified by testing modules and each participant receives an official Prinoth Academy certification.
The e-learning platform also gives service managers and business owners the option to evaluate their staff, identifying strengths and weaknesses to optimize further training. The Report Tool offers an overview of each employee’s progress, potential areas of improvement, and gives management the opportunity to readjust if needed, making the tool measurable for both technicians and managers.
“The Academy is another example of how we go the extra mile for our customers,” Ferrari said. “And how even our training is designed to minimize downtime.”
