Volvo EC950F Crawler Excavator

The Volvo Construction Equipment EC950F crawler excavator is a 99-ton machine. Operating weight is 198,400 pounds, and it has a 603-horsepower Volvo D16 Tier 4-F engine.

Excavators are available in three configurations: GP, with the long boom and arm; Mass Excavation, with short boom and are; and a hybrid version with a short boom and a long arm.

Maximum reach is 46 feet with the GP version. Maximum breakout force of 76,660 lb.ft. is attained with the mass excavation unit.

The maximum bucket it can carry is 9.16 cubic yards.

The excavator is designed to pair with a Volvo A60H articulated truck, which it can load in four passes. Average cycle time is 20 to 25 seconds, although the operator can customize cycles. For example, the excavator can load fast and swing slow.
