Sept. 18, 2019

Komatsu PC2000-11 excavator matches to haul trucks with capacities from 70 to 200 tons. The Komatsu SSA12V140E-7 diesel provides 1,046 horsepower, up from 956 horsepower in the PC2000-8, and has auto idle and auto idle shutdown to reduce fuel consumption.

A simplified power module (cooling package, engine, PTO, and hydraulic pumps) provides accessibility to major components, low noise levels in the cab, and reduces the labor required for a planned overhaul, according to the company.

New EPC valves optimize main valve spool control to increase work equipment speed. Heavy lift mode provides 10 percent more boom lifting force. Improved multifunction performance increases productivity by 12 percent. A redesigned hydraulic system monitors work equipment loads and optimized hydraulic flow. Selectable working modes match machine performance to application.
