John Deere 17G, 26G Excavators

Feb. 26, 2015

The 14.5-horsepower 17G and 20-horsepower 26G excavators are Tier 4-Final without a DOC or DPF. The 26G replaces the 27D excavator, and has a Yanmar 3TNV80F engine. Preliminary specifications include an operating weight of 6,110 pounds with cab, maximum digging depth of 8 feet 6 inches, and bucket digging force of 4,994 pounds. A third service door has been added for improved access to the cooling core and other daily checkpoints. The cores are positioned side by side for easier access. On the 26G, the cab door width was increased by more than three inches, and the cab has a larger front window. The 17G cab remains unchanged from the D Series model.
