Komatsu PC170LC-10 Excavator

Dec. 11, 2013

The PC170LC-10 excavator replaces the company’s PC160LC-8. With operating weights from 38,100 to 41,600 pounds, the machine has a 115-horsepower Komatsu SAA4D107E-2 engine that meets Tier 4-Interim requirements and is up to 10 percent more fuel-efficient, the company says. A diesel oxidation catalyst uses passive regeneration without the need for a diesel particulate filter. Hydraulic pump, motors and valves are also Komatsu-made, and the closed center load-sensing system uses both variable-speed and low-speed matching technology, the company says.
