Bucket capacity for both the backhoe and shovel is 10.5 cubic yards, assuming densities of 3,000 pounds per cubic yard. The models use a Liebherr 12-cylinder engine, rated at 757 horsepower, which is designed to operate efficiently at extreme temperatures.
