A 70-ton hydraulic excavator was unveiled at the Conexpo-Con/Agg show in March and is expected to be in full production the last quarter of 2005. It will be shown with two different configurations — one with a standard boom and arm; the other with a mass-excavation boom and arm. The machine will be powered by a Tier 3 Volvo engine using Volvo's new Advanced Combustion Technology (V-ACT) system.
