Engcon Develops Tilt Sensors for Excavators

March 28, 2019

Engcon is developing a tilt sensor for use with excavator guidance systems. The sensor will provide a clear interface, cheaper installation, and facilitate support, the company says.

Engcon tilt sensors will be retrofittable to Engcon’s tiltrotators from the EC209 up to the EC233. Tests will be carried out in 2019, and the company says sensors will be ready and compatible before the end of the year.

“Our tiltrotators work extremely well with the market’s excavator guidance systems. The only unresolved issue was the actual interface–and we’re fixing that now with our own tilt sensor,” Peter Huczkowsky, developer of Engcon control systems, said in a press release.
