Komatsu iMC 2.0 is available on its D51-24 and D61i-24 crawler dozers. The Komatsu dozers are 131 and 168 horsepower, respectively.
New technology in the version upgrade include the company’s patent-pending proactive dozing control, introduced at Conexpo 2020. The system helps operators to automatically cut or strip from existing terrain. The dozer measures the terrain as it tracks over it, then uses the data to plan the next pass. Komatsu asserts that productivity can be improved by up to 60 percent.
