A variable-flow auxiliary-hydraulic system is standard equipment, with a direct-drive, 13.3-gpm pump and relief pressure of 3,000 psi. The cooling package is sized to allow continuous full-load operation in ambient temperatures to 118F. The unit has a ground clearance of 10.8 inches and a departure angle of 44 degrees.
ASV’s patented Posi-Track system features a flexible rubber track with internal, positive-drive sprockets. The open-rail and drive-sprocket design, says the company, results in increased sprocket and bogie life, along with easier undercarriage cleaning. All of the undercarriage wheels are exposed in the undercarriage, minimizing the possibility of abrasive material being trapped. The undercarriage design has 12 contact points to spread the unit’s weight evenly for a ground pressure of 3.5 psi. An optional smooth turf track designed to reduce the risk of damage to sensitive surfaces. Maximum travel speed for the ASV RT-40 is 7.1 mph.
The pressurized cab incorporate rollover and falling-object protection, is equipped with hydraulic joystick controls, and features large windows, rear-lighting package, and adjustable front-pedestal lighting designed for enhanced visibility. A backup camera is available, as is an optional all-weather or cold-weather cab that includes heating and air-conditioning. Operator amenities a cup holder, phone mount, and DC outlet.
