Case is introducing the 580SV Construction King backhoe, a 97-horsepower, 14-foot-dig depth model.
It brings a tool carrier-style front end back to the company's backhoe line, and is one of five new backhoes coming from Case this year.
George MacIntyre, backhoe product manager, takes Construction Equipment through the unit's highlights. It is aimed at businesses that use the loader end of their backhoe as a primary material handler–loading and unloading pallets, moving pipe and other bundled material around the yard. Adding a 4-in-1 bucket, a 6-in-1 bucket, or any of the countless attachments available for Case backhoes turns this into a multipurpose job site solution—and a hydraulic quick coupler makes it easier to change attachments. This center pivot model is immediately available to the North American market, and Case will be rolling out a sideshift model later in 2023.
