Updates for 2019 N Series Case backhoe loaders include a PowerBoost button on the joystick that enables a boost of increased hydraulic power without decreasing engine rpm. The loader joystick has three new switches: a declutch trigger; a switch with detent that can be locked in the forward position for use with brooms, for example; and an F-N-R switch that allows for directional changes without the operator removing their hand from the joystick.
Direct Drive is a new feature on S- and H-Type transmissions that engages the engine and transmission directly, which, says the company, leads to improved gradeability, faster roading speeds, improved fuel economy, and faster travel times. The feature is automatically activated in third and fourth gears based on torque demand and job-site conditions.
An electronic fuel priming system on 580N and larger backhoe loader models evacuates all of the air out of the fuel lines to improve serviceability of fuel filters. Extendahoe versions now include a factory-installed hydraulic thumb.
