The L-Series Deere backhoe loaders have been updated. The new precision mode, standard for the 310SL HL, 410L, and 710L, allows reduced-speed hydraulic functions when craning, performing detailed work, or training new operators. Pilot controllers have a wider metering range (increased by 16 percent) to enhance consistency between functions. A new hydraulic rear coupler is activated via the backhoe loader’s sealed-switch module, and a new spring-type rear coupler requires only that the operator leave the cab once (to release the current attachment) when changing work tools. A redesigned hydraulic thumb (optional) is aimed at reducing trench interference and improving contact points against the bucket cutting edge when handling or loading irregular shaped objects.
