Three E Series articulated dump trucks have been updated with Tier 4-Final John Deere PowerTech diesels. Power ratings are the same as for the Interim engines: 422 horsepower for the 370E, 443 horsepower for the 410E, and 481 horsepower for the 460E.
The ZF transmission has eight forward and four reverse gears, and a high-capacity retarder. John Deere hauler axles have on-the-fly differential locks and outboard planetaries, and use internal wet disc brakes.
Design changes center on the ADT cab, which is sealed and pressurized. Upgrades include push-button start, low-effort push-button controls, air-suspension heated high-back seat, tilt/telescoping steering wheel, stairway lights, and a 7-inch LCD monitor. An integrated tire-pressure/temperature monitoring system uses a passive alarm on the monitor. Further pressure decreases or overheating result in an audible warning and an email alert. An optional onboard weighing system displays the payload on the monitor during loading while transmitting real-time load and tonnage data.
Centralized, ground-level servicing enables all daily service to be completed from the ground (see video below).John Deere E Series ADT Specifications
